FotoRoll Privacy Policy

FotoRoll helps you create slideshow videos and scrapbook collages from media you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, why it is accessed, whether it leaves your device, and which third-party services are used.

FotoRoll uses the Android system photo picker where available so you can choose specific photos. The app does not scan your full photo library for slideshow creation.

Account Information

FotoRoll supports authentication using Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in, Google and Firebase may provide certain account-related information, including:

This information is used to authenticate your account, maintain your signed-in session, enable video export functionality, and provide features that require authentication.

Users may browse the application, create scrapbook collages, select photos, and use collage-related features without signing in. A signed-in account is currently required to export slideshow videos from the application.

Storage and Processing

Photos, selected audio files, collages, and rendered videos are processed locally on your device.

FotoRoll does not upload your selected photos, selected audio files, rendered videos, or collage images to FotoRoll-owned servers.

Files leave your device only when you explicitly choose to export or share them using Android system features or third-party applications.

Draft information, such as selected local file paths, project settings, and template choices, may be stored locally on your device so you can continue editing later.

Runtime Permissions

FotoRoll is designed to minimize access to user media.

Where supported, FotoRoll uses the Android system photo picker so you can select specific photos and videos without granting broad access to your media library.

On certain older Android versions, the app may request storage-related permissions only when necessary to save exported content to your device gallery.

Third-Party Services

Firebase

FotoRoll uses Firebase services for application initialization and user authentication.

Firebase Authentication may process identifiers such as user ID, email address, and authentication tokens. This information is used solely for authentication and account session management.

Google Sign-In

FotoRoll supports Google Sign-In. Google may process authentication-related information according to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics for Firebase

FotoRoll does not currently use Google Analytics for Firebase. If analytics services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before release to explain what information is collected and how it is used.

Firebase Crashlytics

FotoRoll does not currently use Firebase Crashlytics. If crash reporting is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before release to explain what diagnostic information is collected.

Google AdMob

FotoRoll does not currently display advertisements and does not use Google AdMob. If advertising services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before release to explain advertising-related data usage.

Data Sharing

FotoRoll does not sell personal information.

FotoRoll does not share your selected photos, selected audio files, rendered videos, or collage images with third parties unless you explicitly choose to export or share them using your device or another application.

Authentication-related information may be processed by Firebase and Google as described in this policy.

Data Retention

Photos, audio files, collages, and rendered videos selected by users are not stored on FotoRoll-owned servers.

Users who sign in using Google Sign-In may request deletion of account-related information associated with FotoRoll by contacting the support email listed below.

Deleting account-related information may affect access to features that require authentication, including slideshow video export functionality.

Authentication-related information is managed by Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In. Certain information may continue to be retained by Google or Firebase according to their own policies and legal obligations.

FotoRoll uses industry-standard security measures provided by Firebase Authentication and Google services to help protect account-related information during transmission and authentication.

Children's Privacy

FotoRoll is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through authentication services associated with FotoRoll, please contact the developer so the matter can be reviewed.

FotoRoll may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this document will be updated.
